Biography

Born in Manchester and now based in Birmingham, Danni Mayers is a seasoned session vocalist who’s spent over 20 years recording, touring, and performing with artists across the globe — including Loose Ends, Omar, Tippa Irie, Susan Cadogan, Luciano, Beenie Man, and more.

Her live credits include major European festivals like Summer Jam, Chiemsee, Rototom, and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. In 2017, she starred in Motown in Dub at the Simmer-Down Festival.

Her sound blends reggae, RnB, gospel, and soul, with musical influences from Bob Marley to Faith Evans, Lauryn Hill to Anita Baker.

She released her debut single Summer Love in 2018, followed by The Archive Project, a 7-track EP in 2023. Her latest track, Monday Blues, is now streaming.

Danni holds a BA Honours in Health and Social Policy and a PG Dip in Sociology from Warwick University. Her lyrics reflect both lived experience and emotional truth, touching on love, resilience, and everyday realities.

In March 2023, she performed her first solo headline show at Pizza Express Live Holborn. 2024 sees her writing and recording a new album, bringing her soulful storytelling to the forefront.
